EWI & IWI – External & Internal Wall Insulation Solutions

INSULATING A MASONRY WALL EXTERNALLY & INTERNALLY.
Insulating the external & internal side of a masonry wall is an effective method of insulation, particularly for projects where the amount of heat and air loss/movement needs to be maximised.
This method of insulating the walls of your property is an excellent way of combatting heat loss particularly for retrofit, refurbishment or conversion projects, due to the high thermal values gained from the thin profile and reflective aluminium foil outer layers of our multifoil insulation, it also controls the passage of air and moisture through its high vapour control properties.

Dry lining involves installing insulation between timber battens on the internal or external side of your wall. Whether it’s for a new build or a refurbishment project. Dry lining insulation makes your home more energy efficient and is quick and easy to install, whilst achieving U-Values which will ensure you comply with Building Regulations and have a room which is comfortable for its occupants.
The recommended insulation for this method of construction is shown below.
SuperQuilt External & Internal Side Of Solid Wall

Our external & internal wall insulation solution is great for projects where there is an existing masonry wall or a new masonry wall has just been built.
Installing a single layer of SuperQuilt externally and internally, between timber battens is quick and easy, due to its ultra-thin profile. Increasing the depth of the battens from 25mm to 38mm increases the overall thermal performance.
The high air and vapour control properties of SuperQuilt once taped and sealed on all overlaps and perimeter, stops warm air escaping, improving insulation and air tightness.
As air is stopped from escaping, 90 per cent of heat can be recovered from outgoing air, meaning only 10 per cent of air in the home needs to be heated up.
Fresh air is then let in through a mechanical ventilation heat recovery system.
